"Kill yr blog. 2004 over." says Paul Boutin. Reasons?

  1. Amateurs can't compete with pros.
  2. Too hard.
  3. Comment trolls.

Everyone should blog. Reasons?:

  1. Remote friends and family can keep up with you.
  2. Reflecting on your life helps you think (See #6 in GoodQuotes).
  3. It extends your memory, searchably.

You don't have to put up with comment trolls. Especially with a low-volume site that pretty much only attracts close friends. There really aren't many downsides to blogging unless you're really paranoid about security (and if that's the case, you should be cleaning your assault rifle instead of reading blogs ;).

Plus, the assault rifle can come in handy in case of zombies.

I've been negligent in blogging recently, but I blame it on busyness. That and I've been trying to avoid coherent thoughts by watching lots of horror-comedy-drama in the guise of Buffy. Almost done w/ the 7th season though which will bring an end to that phase. *shrug* -- Cal
