Remember that you must act within existing political forces, that the actors in the drama are all well-informed, and that the existing equilibrium is the product of a massive struggle.
For any regulatory regime, there are two benefactors: those who operate successfully within its specifications, and those who successfully break its rules. Both labor extensively to maintain the status quo.
Certainly seems apposite for all of us who toil away under these constraints on this May Day (mayday, mayday, m'aidez! ;).
