Counter Punch appears to have successfully trolled almost the entire blogosphere with their Pol Pot Revisited. Congrats to them on their successful hack; they seem to have profit'd immensely.

Why did this hack work so well? It seems that since Counter Punch leans left, they could credibly memorialize the wonderful works of Pol Pot. Is that it, though?

Or perhaps many people aren't familiar with the concept of trolling? Their time online is spent in the company of people who think like them, and they've never happened upon /r/funny or 4chan?

...

These thoughts make me want to walk around talking like Morbo for the rest of the day.

Morbo: "Morbo will now introduce tonights candidates. Puny human number one, puny human number two, and Morbo's good friend Richard Nixon."
Nixon: "Hello Morbo. How's the family?"
Morbo: "Belligerent and numerous."
Nixon: "Good man, Nixon's pro-war and pro-family."
