I gave a talk on bash [ODP] [PDF] at GeekCamp SG 2009. While I had fun, it seems that bash hacking discussions should either be pitched differently, or maybe hashed out in a smaller group (not ~100 people).

The talk walks through Don Norman's gripes about the command-line, answering them with the abilities of bash 4.0 (the composite solution bashrc), along with Jef Raskin's UI laws, and pattern ideas from Christopher Alexander.
