Milan Kundera once spent an entire novel exploring peoples' motion and physical movement. Recently, I've been noticing how people eat. Granted, it depends on the context, but some people will stretch just a little to eat. They'll crane their neck, almost hyperextend their jaw, reticulate their spine oddly, when eating some food that absolutely did not require such contortions.

I've never had a long term research project. Everything I've been interested in has appeared to be a passing fad, I'll read a bit, but I've never exhaustively explored a complex subject which took longer than a month or two to completely canvas. Given this propensity, I should plan out a project, and be aware that I will probably burn out on the subject matter at some point, so I should put the matter down in such a fashion that I can later restart the project.
