One thing that really struck me yesterday was the set of <a href="http://www.philamuseum.org/collections/euro_dec_arts/1959-78-3.shtml">tapestries</a> depicting
major events from Emperor Constantine's life. These tapestries are 15' by 25',
they're huge. But they're just so dang impressive, you tend to forget that
Constantine was a lead-addled wingnut who helped sink the Italian peninsula's
first empire.

I wonder what the ultrawealthy give each other as gifts nowadays? 
A couple 
hundred years ago, the typical gifts seemed to be elegant tapestries, ornate
armor, and Pennsylvania.
