Davilar is Chilean colloquial Spanish for royally screwing up. Juan Pablo Davila won an Ig Nobel Prize in Economics for mistakenly buying commodities (he meant to sell). To rectify the situation, he went on a frenzy of buying and selling; in the end, he lost $180M (0.5% of Chile's GDP).
