There are two distinct benefits to challenging convention. (1) you see opportunities others miss, and (2) 
a significant part of the population likes "rebels". But, bad things occur when (1) is true and you are
trying to involve people who haven't yet clarified their viewpoints on (2). You see the benefit, but must
be aware that you may have a difficult sales pitch to make.
