Never Again

Didn't we say this after the Holocaust? What about after Cambodia? The Balkans? Rwanda?

Didn't we say this after we failed Cuba in the 50's? Viet Nam? Chile? Iran? Nicaragua?

Where are our foreign policy successes? Is it just Marshall Plan Germany and Japan, Taiwan (overlooking a bunch of killings by Chiang Kai-shek), and South Korea?

Did we save the world from Dictatorship in the name of Communism? Did we save the world from Drugs?

We keep making mistakes. Mistakes that outweigh the good that we do. Let us make a best-effort clean-up of our current messes, and not intervene any more.

There are far worse mistakes that we could make.
