White Noise
is what happens when you group people who don't understand, haven't read,
and insist on talking. Delillo has a real hard time with college freshmen
and their mental experimentation with philosophies badly reasoned and divorced
from reality. Too bad his joy of phrase can't keep it up throughout this
allegory for the freshman year at college.
All plots tend to move deathward.
