BugMeNot gets you into sites that require
a "free registration" by keeping a database of URLs and registrations which
people have entered. It was recommended on NANOG, and after trying it, I
recommend it too. As a Mozilla/Firefox plugin, it's super useful.
Granted, I was a bit leery of installing a plugin into Firefox, so I pulled
apart the .xpi to find out that it's just javascript and xml (rdf, xul) in
there (xul is slick). As
long as you trust bugmenot.com to not abuse the fact that you access their site
each time you run BugMeNot, it looks safe.
