In Russian, there is a nice turn of phrase: угол Ð¿Ð°Ð´ÐµÐ½Ð¸Ñ Ð½Ðµ равен углу отражениÑ, which takes the physics dictum of 'the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection' and negates it.
Which makes no sense, except that it's not 'angle of incidence' in Russian, it's 'angle of falling' with all the typical nuances of `falling', ie. restorations do not mirror declines.
Which works for all kinds of phenomena in life and in economics.
