Last I heard, Damian Conway, Chromatic, Tim O'Reilly amongst others, all used vim. Damian even gives talks about vim and boasts 540+ lines of vim functions. Seems like a lot of hackers profess vim usage, but where are their vimrcs?

Maybe they don't actually use vim, but just say that to maintain street cred. ;)

Amir Salihefendic's vimrc has a good policy function, namely strip whitespace from the end of python lines on file write.
