With some basic recon to try to figure girls out, you'll notice that all the girls' mags have articles on 'Where are all the good guys?'.

I've yet to see a girl's mag that focuses on what girls are doing to earn that guy's respect other than buying makeup and clothes.

Of course not. What would the advertisers do with a magazine that says makeup and clothes aren't what you need? --Rehana

This concerns girls 16-27, which I assume is Cosmo's target market: Most girls who do the makeup-and-clothes bit get approached by random guys several times per day. Additionally, they know that they can "keep" a guy, at least in the short term, by saying one word. Hence, the concentration on finding good guys. -Theo
