His five pain points: 1) Phones Fail (can you hear me now?) 2) Poor Usability Design (I know there is some way to do this, but I can't figure out how), 3) Lack of Control (I'm sorry, I should probably answer this), 4) Annoyance Imposed on Others ( overheard personal conversations ), 5) Safety While Driving
He has a neat point that cellphones don't feed the volume of your voice back to you (unlike analog phones), so people talk louder than they have to. I've seen an alternate argument that as hearing becomes more difficult you increase the volume of your voice.
