Don't wear shoes in Singapore. Pretty much everyone wears sandals, and while that's practical, I have a deep aversion to sandals (probably scarred from my time at New College). So, I wanted to find some water slippers (water moccasins), which would work well here. So, I headed off to Novena Square, the Land of Sports in Singapore.
It turns out that sports apparently means t-shirts and some shoes. I was expecting a megaplex (like SimLimSquare) and Novena just has ~10 shoppes and no massive sporting goods store. Fail.
In other news, I moved from a hostel near Somerset MRT to one near Bugis MRT which is four small blocks from an unexpected mosque (the street was named Arab ST, so I should've known better). After hacking around in the library, I got some awesome egg pancakes and chicken from a well-customered restaurant quatre-corner from the mosque.
