Pandora is a nice network music service that runs on a crappy platform (flash) which doesn't have a native standalone flashplayer. Running it in firefox is annoying from a cpuload perspective, and also because there's no easy way to background it. So for now, I'm back to just running mplayer :

mplayer http://www.di.fm/mp3/drumandbass.pls

Theoretically, I could hack together a gtk app that would use the flash shared object, but that's not super interesting right now (todo list is already too damn long).

How did you get the underlying URL?

That's just the link for Digitally Imported's Drum and Bass channel. I gave up on hacking the challenge/response system that Pandora uses.
