Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar by Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein

A survey of philosophy illustrated by jokes which starts strong and by the end you're convinced that humanity has a massive amount of unhinged shit in its collective head that occasionally makes it out into the real world because someone wrote about it.

While some philosophy could be called "Reasoning from Ignorance", a lot can't. Unfortunately, with this book you don't know which is which.

[permalink] A Nosology seems overkill; his audience falls into three categories: good logical positivists, bad ones, and everyone else. group 1 already discount the "wrong", group 2 need remedial materials, and group 3 need sales material targeting their current statement evaluation system. -- Patrick

[permalink] Along with Patrick's criticisms, I would say that he ends up being just as "wrong" in his thoughts as those he criticises. -- hexmode
