Star Trek Beyond written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, and directed by Justin Lin
The only good thing about this film is the opening war sequence where the Enterprise gets into a battle with a swarm of ships. The best part is that the swarm wins; the worst is that the Enterprise didn't launch two photon torpedoes to collide with each other and create a EMP to try to take out the swarm's communications.
Star Trek still runs with a command-and-control perspective, so a fully distributed swarm is unfortunately not within their worldview.
Meanwhile back here on Planet Earth, we're still trying to figure out how to test a drone wingman?.
