I read this in one sitting (well almost, I read 30 pages, drove home, and then read it all), it's that entertaining. Granted, it tries to mitigate the massive suspension of disbelief required (single-handed destruction of an entrenched autocracy in 5 years) with rampant allusive details (see annotations), but the plot hooks you and takes you on a ride from the closely personal to the panoramic defeat of a state's machinations.
We'll see what the movie is like, and then I'll write more.
